UK Politics
General Discussion for politics in the UK.
Please don't post to both !uk_politics@feddit.uk and !unitedkingdom@feddit.uk .
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.
Posts should be related to UK-centric politics, and should be either a link to a reputable news source for news, or a text post on this community.
Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.
If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)
Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.
Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

What's transphobic about the Green party?
no i meant that's why they pick your party over the green party
Have I missed something, what happened to make Your Party transphobic?
they brought on a bunch of transphobic mps like adnan hussain and others from places like alba and then refused to address the concerns trans people had
I think y'all might have that one backwards. Green is far more onside with trans folk, from what I've heard.
They were the first UK party to have a trans national spokesperson. Unfortunately that happened to be Aimee Challenor (she who broke reddit when it emerged she had used her father as election agent and campaign photographer whilst he was awaiting trial for sex offences against children).
So in keeping with their general -ness, points for effort, if not for execution.
