Always loved the look of WindowMaker and I always wanted to make themes for it. Also, it's my first time making themes for WindowMaker so any criticism is appreciated. Feel free to check out the git repo for more themes.

I tried running it, but apps that depend on the desktop environment for open/save dialogs (especially ones sandboxed in AppImages/Flatpak) didn’t work. Is there a solution?

I personally don't use Flatpak that often so I've never encountered such issues. Check if you have xdg-desktop-portal installed.
