Should have posted the link earlier. Also sounds like he's mad they acknowledged a country his country was genociding (although I haven't looked into that claim at all, which is why I didn't include it)

It's a major issue in the chess world, sadly. Just look at the reactions any time the concept of mixed-gender high level competition is brought up. They will absolutely seethe at the very idea of having to compete against a woman. Even worse if the person who wants to be included is trans.
chess especially notable because they ~~banned trans men from competing against their gender too lmaoooooo~~ went the extra step and fucked with trans men too
