It probably doesn’t help that the Canadian dollar is quite weak in the US.

and there is a masked SS grabbing people off the streets and randomly detaining tourists. Then the border is fingerprinting and essentially booking every visitor.

What kind of fucking idiot still goes down there?

To be fair, people have always visited countries that have draconian laws. People will even willingly visit North Korea. Some gay people are willing to take a risk by vacationing in places where it's illegal to be gay. I personally don't understand it but people do it.
