Chat is a text only community for casual conversation, please keep shitposting to the absolute minimum. This is intended to be a separate space from c/chapotraphouse or the daily megathread. Chat does this by being a long-form community where topics will remain from day to day unlike the megathread, and it is distinct from c/chapotraphouse in that we ask you to engage in this community in a genuine way. Please keep shitposting, bits, and irony to a minimum.
As with all communities posts need to abide by the code of conduct, additionally moderators will remove any posts or comments deemed to be inappropriate.
Thank you and happy chatting!

I’m still not following how what I said got interpreted differently - this is exactly what I was saying.
If you insert a comma, you might be able to see how it can be interpreted as you saying "I'm fine with online, but not irl"
ⓘ 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘳 𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘶𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘣𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘤𝘢𝘵. 𝘗𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘴𝘶𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘰𝘳.
Haha, I still needed to read this multiple times to parse it as “me talking about my pronouns” instead of “me talking about other people’s pronouns” 🫠
Right, it took me way too long to read it that way is all - that’s parsing it as a statement I’m making about my pronouns, rather than a reply to someone not wanting to steal my valor by using they/them online but not irl.
"i'm fine with [X online but not offline]"
vs
"[i'm fine with X] online but not (fine with X) offline"
I read it as the latter, but now I understand what their intention might have been.
