"They ain't letting me back in the country [USA] dawg." (03:02:34 Nov 11, 2025)

After picking up the PRC flag from the ground in some exercise of respect, Hasan Piker dusted off the flag before putting it in his pocket.

He then makes a sarcastic comment foretelling his coming struggle getting back in America due to this gesture.

Wonder if he's gonna go to Xinjiang to stop the cUltUrAl gEnOciDe he thinks is going on there lol

unironically it's bad empanada who thinks that

[–] CyborgMarx@hexbear.net 22 points 1 week ago (2 children)

He literally doesn't think that's a thing

At least in 2021 he was entertaining it. I don't really watch him, but he's kinda' soft on things like this to appease his liberal audience. Maybe he's recounted this point, but here he's reading an AP article about Uyghurs and doing the Han Chinese cultural genocide thing.

Well that sure as shit isn't his take now

I think his take now is that they did war on terror shit America-style(derogatory)and that it was an overreach

But hasan loves the war on terror right? I mean I assume so considering he’s spent a month yelling about how awesome Graham Platner is. Graham basically dedicated his life to helping perpetrate that particular crime against humanity.

I haven't familiarized myself with the extent of his support, though I obviously don't agree with it

I simply think he does more good than harm, and the weird ass dunking that sprouts up every now and then on here, when unprompted,is just silly. Agree or disagree, but I think his overall message is positive and he fills a valuable space, even if he's more Dem than soc

Guy already has the worst people trying to make him persona non grata, why exactly should we bother constantly shitting on him even when he hasn't done something egregious? I don't know,I guess I just don't vibe with the "anti-streameritis" some people seem to have on here

As a communist I don’t like liberals who promote opportunism amongst the working class, as a rule. In fact I do consider it egregious.

You’ll notice I don’t give a fuck about whatever streamer drama hasan is involved in. I know nothing about his dog or him being a himbo or whether he has a maid or his mum is rich or whatever the hell. All the issues I have with Piker and his role amongst what constitutes a “left” in America (and he has an annoying long reach outside of the US as well) are ideological.

“The worst people” shit on Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama too, should I welcome them into my arms as comrades? Where does it end lol

[–] RomCom1989@hexbear.net 15 points 1 week ago

I think it's quite unfair to compare a streamer with progressive tendencies with the biggest war criminals of this age

That being said,I haven't made my final judgement on what exactly he represents, and whether he is or isn't a sheepdog,I think of it like this: this person at least provides a dissenting voice in a sea of complete right wing dominance. Yes,he's more liberal than a communist, but to the average American citizen, what he espouses is downright radical. Say you remove him from his particular side of the equation,he gets deplatformed, whatever.

What exactly takes his place? Is there a more principled voice waiting in the sidelines to pick up the slack and at least have the same reach when spreading their ideals? Yes, twitch will never build the vanguard party, but the normalization of more left rhetoric, even if initially defanged is a benefit, because it can bring people to more complete conclusions if they so choose.

How many communists has America missed out on because the cultural zeitgeist was utterly empty of anything left of Reagan from the 80's onwards? I am of the opinion that even the smallest, most imperfect shift left is a million times more valuable than principled takes never seeing the light of day because there wasn't someone more moderate to ease their entrance into the public consciousness.
