A place for optimism, relentless positivity, anti-doomerism, and snuggle sessions.

We're all in this together, and a better world is possible!

This is now also a space for organizing tips for our collective survival as we confront climate change and everything else. Still no doom-posting. We're here to work together, support each other, and boldly face the future.

Rules:

  1. Familiarize yourself with the site-wide Code of Conduct

  2. No doom, no gloom, only bloom. There's plenty of room for doomerism elsewhere. This community is solely for having a positive outlook on the future and spreading good vibes.

  3. Be kind to your fellow users. This also means no arguing in the comm. Arguments and negativity are not conducive to blooming. Constructive discussion is good. No interest-policing. Support your comrades in their joy!

  4. Always share good news. We can't exactly enforce this one, but if you have good news, please share it with us! Keeping happiness and positivity to yourself is the twelfth type of liberalism.

Post your bloomerisms here, whether its some good news you've heard, something nice that you've been succeeding at (no matter how small) etc.
It's time again to share some good vibes!

Hey, did you know that a judge permanently banned troops from Portland?. Sure, that might not stop them, but hey who knows.

  • This phone screening for a job out of Ohio went pretty well. Wages aren’t the best, but there could be a pipeline out of being a basement dweller.

  • I’m expecting to be able to bench 200 for reps this coming week, and got my squats up to 235. Maybe it would be worth it to go on a mini-bulk and get both up, so I could be repping 225? I want abs, but I also want strength.

  • This was kind of dumb and risky, but I messaged some local professors at a local college to ask about some different fields, what they’re actually like who succeeds in those fields, and the “what-ifs” like “what if I can’t measure up and never get a job?” or “What if I start disliking it?” this will give me a better sense on what I actually want to do with my life.

  • Giving myself a challenge for the rest of the month: No Neckbeard November. Basically I follow some rules and try to be more of a functioning adult to help me get my life back. I need to find a penalty besides mental wrist-slapping every time I break a rule.
