Well, this news is bound to upset both Republicans and Clintonite Democrats, LOL...

Snip:

New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani is viewed as a potential “partner” by the Communist Party of Russia (KPRF), its deputy chairman has said.

Speaking to Kommersant on Thursday, MP Leonid Kalashnikov said Mamdani’s proposals to increase taxes on the wealthy closely resemble policies advocated by the party.

“He is indeed a communist in some respects, even though his movement is called the Democratic Socialists of America,” Kalashnikov remarked. Russian communists will observe Mamdani’s actual governance before forming a final opinion, he added.

Kalashnikov noted that both groups are linked through their association with the Sao Paulo Forum, a South American coalition of left-wing anti-imperialist parties, which, he said, makes Mamdani “our partner.”

If he's going to be popular and remain popular then global communists should play the game and claim him too. Yes, that stupidly popular do absolutely represents communism. He is the very embodiment of the hammer and sickle. The hammer and sickle represents HOPE.

This is fine. He's not going to bring about communism but if he cleans people's views of communism simply by existing and being accused of being a communist then that's a perfectly good outcome for us as long as communists don't delusionally buy into it and drown in our own propaganda too.

He's the mayor of New York. There are 1.4 billion people in China represented by the CPC. There is no reason for the CPC to have anything to say about Mamdani.

This is fine, but the CPC still has no reason to say anything about him. Many Americans already believe the whole universe revolves around the most minor of their political events, there's no reason for the most powerful opponent of their empire to validate that for them.
