Work Reform

A place to discuss positive changes that can make work more equitable, and to vent about current practices. We are NOT against work; we just want the fruits of our labor to be recognized better.
Our Philosophies:
- All workers must be paid a living wage for their labor.
- Income inequality is the main cause of lower living standards.
- Workers must join together and fight back for what is rightfully theirs.
- We must not be divided and conquered. Workers gain the most when they focus on unifying issues.
Our Goals
- Higher wages for underpaid workers.
- Better worker representation, including but not limited to unions.
- Better and fewer working hours.
- Stimulating a massive wave of worker organizing in the United States and beyond.
- Organizing and supporting political causes and campaigns that put workers first.

No. Yearly salary discussions are only common for highly paid professionals. You must be one.
Most people are lucky to get a COL raise each year. Many do not.
I am now, but 20 years ago I wasn't and I still had my yearly performance review and talked to my boss about raises.
most folks don't have as blessed a career path as yours is.
most people get nothing until they move companies.
It's not about getting a raise, it's about asking for it.
Anecdotally, my biggest raises were also switching jobs, but that's not the point i (or the meme) was making.
So you got a raise every year to either match or outpace the rate of inflation?
Most performance reviews I have had my desire for more pay was dismissed. And they did that because they knew I couldn't easily find something better
I don't think my raises are relevant, the point is that nobody lost their mind. Did they lose their mind in your performance reviews?
Yeah lol
If they fucking start code switching and saying stupid shit to dismiss you for a reasonable request then yeah that is not of sound mind.
