Former U.S. National Security Adviser General Mike Flynn caused an international stir by stating on social media that “Cuba is next ,” after expressing his support for Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado and the Venezuelan people.
The message, published on the X platform with the phrase “ You're next ,” was interpreted by analysts as a nod to a possible political change on the island , following recent calls for freedom in several countries in the Caribbean and Latin America.
Flynn, one of Donald Trump's closest former officials , has maintained a critical stance toward authoritarian regimes in the region and has reiterated his support for movements seeking to restore democracy in Venezuela, Cuba, and Nicaragua.
The post generated mixed reactions: while some users celebrated the message as a show of solidarity with oppressed peoples, others considered it a political provocation. The Cuban government has not yet issued an official statement .
But no Soviet Union this time, so even it's much worse now.
There is no Soviet Union but there is solidarity from Russia, DPRK(rumored), China and Iran(check this post of mine from c/military).
Venezuela is not alone and this is not worse than before. I could actually say that we are entering in the best timeline possible because we are now stronger than before while the enemy grew arrogant and mediocre. As an example of their arrogance being trampled, the US has lost to Yemen recently and their hell spawn Israel was whacked by Iran. They have been exposed as not invincible and weak.
Spartacist Revolution failed, Khrushchev brought revisionism to the USSR, Soviet Union and China split, Soviet Union collapsed, Gaza is in ruin, climate change is just starting to get bad and out of control
This failure taught plenty of movements around the world the importance of strong organization and to purge reformists like the SPD.
This failure, even though painful, helped as a lesson for China and current popular movements worldwide -> https://lemmygrad.ml/post/7854832
Now, even that revisionism is dying out in Russia and all of the slander starting to dissipate -> https://lemmygrad.ml/post/9185351
Painful because this was even more damaging than the imperialists' siege. However, now, even countries that were enemies before are starting to heal and coming together. (example China and Vietnam)
And the USSR 2 will soon be born from the lessons given by the first attempt.
Even with all of the genocide and destruction, the Palestinian resistance wasn't defeated and they broke everything that sustained the Zionist Entity. Now, the entity rushes towards its collapse. It also radicalized so many people that otherwise wouldn't have been politically active:
Western governments have long been the backbone of Israel’s international legitimacy. Now, all of these genociders are slowly but surely facing more and more problems to sustain themselves politically and internationally. The Western facade of "democracy and human right" have been exposed as a sham and also that they are the enemies to defeat. The contradictions are intensifying and it is up to us in our respective trench to translate this into a better world.
I like this discussion and the video in it regarding this topic -> https://lemmygrad.ml/post/7158459
In a world that often feels overwhelmed by bad news, it’s crucial to remember that change is happening and not always for the worse. If we can see progress today, it means that many people’s efforts are making a difference. Whether it’s a small action or a major revolution, we must not stop working for the best while hoping for improvements, because moving forward is the first most important step toward change. Just like water droplets that drill a rock.
to add to this, we have blown through at least one "point of no return" and are on track to careen through multiple others in the coming decades
the new "baseline" is becoming more and more unlivable by the year
We have China, comrade. Somehow I'm not worried.
China is much more capitalist and don't promote socialism abroad. Maybe it will change, but I don't really have hope.
Non-interventionist doesn't mean non-supportive. China does promote socialism through belts and roads.
