Idk what is most surprising here:

  • he hasn't gotten it covered (apparently had since 2006)
  • this made it through the pod save edit to be shown on their video
  • pod save had him on

Wonder what the excuses will be this time on why it's okay he's still in the race as if he wins probably will be another fetterman.

Or maybe I'm so conspiracy brained I wonder if this is a way to make the ancient governor running look like the best candidate

he said that the multiple Blackwater tours is probably too much even for him.

Hasan doesn’t really “support” him per se.

then why did Hasan tell/let his youtube editors post this stream highlight?

indicative of a desire on the part of Americans to want better things for ourselves and each other.

waow, yankee imperialists "want better things" for themselves and their fellow yankees.

don't bother with the hasan fans tbh. they always have some excuse. you always have to watch hours of context to really understand him. He creates an entire ecosystem around him of shitlibs, plays into it, allows his editors and team and subreddit to all play into it and then tries to distance himself from it when it looks bad by saying "it's unofficial, that's just a clip channel" even though he pays these editors or could get them removed from YouTube easily if he pushed for it.

I was hoping they'd be a little less annoying here than over on reddit, but no such luck

I found a YouTube link in your comment. Here are links to the same video on alternative frontends that protect your privacy:

Yes, I want my fellow Americans to have healthcare. If you can’t say you want the working class in your country to have a better life then you have no business engaging with people or trying to organize / agitate.

And I don’t get the problem with that video. He’s saying he doesn’t like some things about him and supports others things. Nothing like a wholesale “support” or endorsement.

Jfc despite being here since like day three it feels like Hexbear is getting too leftcom even for me.

Yes, you can "want healthcare", but you also should prioritise (or at least view as equally important) the welfare of people outside the USA. There's a categorical difference between American/Global North leftists and the (past and present) revolutionaries in AES nations and/or the Global South, in that you guys live in the imperial core, and your hypothetical "free healthcare"/"better life" will inevitably come from super-exploitation of the Global South. So yes, just like you guys, Lenin/Mao/Castro/Ho Chi Minh/etc., "wanted the working class in their country to have a better life". But unlike the USA, the economies of their countries weren't structurally dependent on siphoning massive amounts of labour/capital/natural resources from other nations. That's the key difference.

He’s saying he doesn’t like some things about him and supports others things. Nothing like a wholesale “support” or endorsement.

I really do think it's very suspicious that he's an unrepentant imperialist soldier/mercenary. But then, I heard that at a time while he was still happily working as government-employed brown people killer he once roleplayed as an edgy leftist on a semi-anonymous internet forum, and then later deleted his posts once he decided to run for public office. Hearing that "kinda made me feel like he might be a pretty good dude^TM^!"

it feels like Hexbear is getting too leftcom even for me.

Platner is not Stalin, and I'm not Bordiga. Platner is not part of a workers' party/labour organisation, let alone a vanguard party, and I'm not "wrecking" his revolutionary communist movement. Any reasonably informed materialist analysis should include consideration that Platner is openly a member of a bourgeois-controlled Democratic party, who's promoting himself to the American audience as a "communist" of said bourgeois party (possibly because he thinks being as perceived as being further on the left differentiates/gives him an edge against his Democratic party competition?), whose various policy pledges on his own campaign webpage signal that he wants the American empire and military to be a more efficiently-run world-killing machine (see especially "Take on waste and corruption at the Pentagon; rebuild American shipbuilding", and "No more pointless wars").
