Over here in Australia we have the young liberals, and its exactly the same dorky groups. I'm not sure why there seems to be a memo for young conservative groups to produce "look at how badass we are, here's three of our members in suits" content, but I die a little inside every time I see it. From cringe. I die from cringe.
