I've been using this launcher for a few months now and it is good if you want to focus only on the use of the phone not the overuse. Text only no icons but has a compable gesture systems and simple but useful functionality.

Definitely not for everyone but some may find it perfect

Seems cool but the privacy policy is lacking. The third party data offloading is questionable. Olauncher is a better alternative if privacy is important https://f-droid.org/packages/app.olauncher

From their website " Security and Privacy MultiLauncher prioritizes your privacy and security. It does not collect unnecessary data, ensuring that your personal information stays private. The app is transparent about permissions and your data is fully in your control."

Also I have a firewall running that logs all internet connection attempts. I've never saw mlauncher connected to the internet once.

Now they do have the ability for fetching the word of the day online (I don't use this feature) but that's the only third party interaction i could think of. That feauture is off by default

It looks like a great service. This clause just gives me pause

Service Providers

I may employ third-party companies and individuals due to the following reasons:

To facilitate our Service;

To provide the Service on our behalf;

To perform Service-related services; or

To assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.

I want to inform users of this Service that these third parties have access to your Personal Information. The reason is to perform the tasks assigned to them on our behalf. However, they are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose.

I'll try to email the developer and ask them the reason for this contradiction.

Mismatches like this aren't hard to find. It is why I always defer to the privacy agreement for details.

Marketing privacy and security is easy. Delivering on it with legal commitments is difficult.

I've never saw the app use internet through my firewall. That was without a block but I blocked it just in case some future attempt was made
