If am currently even more dirty/sweaty from other things, and will be too tired to shower after walk, it makes sense to shower now, and accept the relatively small amount of sweaty from the walk.

Or, shower after walk and be more clean but more tired, with risk of being too tired to shower.

Nah that's fair, I'm just describing the (probably more weird) way my brain usually works lol
