Communities just jumping around all the time. Its getting difficult to keep up.

These are the responsible ones who've managed the move well. Others just add a lil disclaimer in the sidebar.

I remember suggesting something similar somewhere a long time ago and was told it was next to impossible

I think the cross-post functionality is/was the most fruitful effort towards that end.
