Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

2010 was 15 years ago, They haven't done or said shit Since then on healthcare, and what they ended up producing was a fucking handjob to the insurance companies. They refuse to confront drug companies, Healthcare companies, or trusts operating in every sector of the economy.

2010 was the last time they had power, they've had 48 or less senate seats for over a decade.

Blame Joe Lieberman for the handjob but at least we got the preexisting conditions protections that has had those companies seething and malding ever since.

  1. They did nothing.

That ignores them not fighting, so long after the fact I do not care to describe once again what I mean by that, but I should not have to describe to you how to play politics. We need strong leadership and we have not had that.

[–] finitebanjo@piefed.world -3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

You're saying the most productive congress in our lifetime did nothing? You simply live in an alternative reality.

[–] Cassanderer@thelemmy.club 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Everything continued to get worse so why don't you give it a rest. If pretending like these Democrats were doing a good job worked we wouldn't be in this position. Stop trying to bully everybody into anything like this is an acceptable job.

Hmmm Everything continued to get worse after we stopped giving DNC more than 48 seats for a decade. I wonder what the cause could be. /s

[–] Cassanderer@thelemmy.club 4 points 1 day ago (2 children)

I don't even know what you mean there. Giving the DNC more than 48 seats in what?

[–] goferking0@lemmy.sdf.org 3 points 1 day ago

They honestly believe only thing wrong is not enough dems. They cannot comprehend dems as a whole don't want to help us

[–] finitebanjo@piefed.world -2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

The DNC have not had more than 48 senators since the 113th congress.

[–] Cassanderer@thelemmy.club 2 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

2021 they had 50 or more, 2008 they had 60 before kennedy got brain cancer.

[–] finitebanjo@piefed.world -3 points 22 hours ago* (last edited 22 hours ago)

Incorrect, in 2021 it was 48, and Independents Bernie Sanders and Angus King caucused with the DNC to make a 50:50 tie with the GOP who had 0 Independents caucus with them.

The most DNC they've had in a decade was 48.

They actually had 46 in 2021 until the Georgia Special Election results were announced.
