Is there any chance this will be good? I mean, I want it to be good, I just can't get over the bad taste in my mouth from History Of The World, Part II.

If they don’t subtitle it :The Quest For More Money, I’m not seeing it.

They made a part 2!!?

It wasn't good?...

An 8 part series on Hulu in 2023. I couldn't make it through more than 2 episodes. The critical reception makes no sense to me as it's got a 75% on rotten tomatoes. Maybe it's just me, but Nick Kroll is no Mel Brooks.

I'll maybe check it out, but it doesn't sound particularly appealing.

It was an 8-episode miniseries instead of a movie. Basically, a series of sketch comedies in every episode. It wasn't great.

That's a shame.

Don't listen to jaaake, while we can agree that Kroll is no Brooks, Brooks was also heavily involved and though it has been a few years since I've seen it, I do remember liking it.

As long as you are expecting it to lean heavily on nostalgia and references to the first movie, you probably won't be disappointed. Happy Gilmore 2 literally had clips from the first inserted into it just to fucking remind people of what scenes they were referencing, but other than that it was actually decent and stood on its own except for the VERY heavy handed graveyard scene, but that was tongue in cheek so I let it go.
