If you check mainstream chud propagandists, they never really stopped their 80s and 90s moral panic, they're still going on about everything being "demonic" (Matt Walsh etc. and other popular chuds). What gets me is how successfully the fascists made being an annoying religious asshole "cool" again.
there was that time several years ago where tucker carlson claimed to have woken up with scratches all over his body which he attributed to the work of demons.
I feel like American Christianity kind of hit the nadir of its power in the early 2010s, only to rally around Trump.

Probably won't even take that long. They're irritating self-righteous deeply malicious freaks, and it's obvious for normies to see. They're only powerful because they face no organized opposition. Unfortunately both parties are intent on keeping it that way, but I do think they'll ultimately fail at that.
