Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
The rules are simple:
- The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author's website, for instance).
- The comic must be a complete story.
- If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
- You may post comics from others or your own.
- If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
- The comic can be in any language, but if it's not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post's 'body' field (note: you don't need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
- Politeness.
- AI-generated comics aren't allowed.
- Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.

I know it's a joke, but learning a language is actually kind of fun. It can be rough when trying to get past that entry to intermediate, but once you start realizing you can do some light reading and listening, it gets addictive. I'd be spending all day reading and watching shit in Japanese if I could right now.
Im just starting to learn japanese funnily enough. It's a bit of a struggle getting through the start esp since I never learned chinese as a kid either LOL
Don't worry, most people only knew basic weeabo words from anime like I did before I started. Kanji is daunting, but if you use some sort of SRS program with mnemonics to learn it (+ learn radicals!), you'll get good! It takes time, like if you do Wanikani everyday it's still a little more than a year to complete all 60 levels. But I'm at the point now where I'm frustrated if a word is written in kana rather than kanji 😅
I learned most of my vocab through Wanikani (Currently 3K+ are "burned"), but you could just use the Kaishi 1.5K deck to get some beginner vocab and go from there. I now get my vocab from immersion (YT vids, manga).
Yea the bummer is that kid me really hated chinese school so I never actually learned chinese except speaking at like an elementary school level.
I'm decently sure if kid me wasn't as whiny about chinese school it'd be a lot easier to learn japanese since the characters are somewhat shared
I should technically learn chinese as well but I'm planning on visiting japan first so yea LOL
