Nice hypothetical, I guess, but name an instance of violence done in the name of Muslims in France that was not condemned by most public Muslim figures? The reality is that there was plenty of "speaking up" done, yet the apparatus for relaying info (aka the press) just didn't pay attention to them and preferred airing yet again the same people asking yet again the same questions - questions like "where are the good muslims and why don't we hear them condemning????".

I live in a Muslim country, with Muslim press. I don't see them condemning it either.
