It was reported by Cultaholic.com that former WWE star Matt Riddle no-showed a wrestling event on Sunday, August 31st 2025 that was raising money for charities in support of survivors of domestic abuse as well as homeless veterans. In a video published to Twitter/X, Riddle issued a response to the claim…
“I’m going to make this quick. GWK. The reason I didn’t go is because you booked me a flight for Thursday for a show that was happening Sunday, and you said you were booking me meet-and-greets, other matches and appearances. You did none of that. I had nothing scheduled, and I was going to sit in a hotel room for two days in London. I told you multiple times I can’t do that or wouldn’t do that. And I got work for Friday and Saturday. And Thursday, I worked Thursday, Friday, Saturday. And I told you I would fly to London Saturday evening. You said you paid for it. I go, ‘No, you paid for it. Take it out of my pay. Whatever.’ You guys refuse. So I flew to Miami and wrestled there. All right? I never said I wouldn’t pay you guys back. That’s a lie. Also, this show wasn’t a charity event. That’s a lie. That was a last second change. You also booked me the worst flight in history, bro. Middle seat, no meal, no checked bag. GWK, this is probably your last run.”
Riddle then provided follow-up comments in another video…
“You know, I could explain everything in great detail. I’m not lying, but I really don’t give a fck anymore. Most of you motherfckers are dumb fcking cnts, just like when you believe that ‘me too’ bullsht, all the other fcking garbage. You guys are all fcking dumb, and it’s fcking insane. It’s fcking insane. Fcking believe these fcking creeps? Whatever, dog. At the end of the day, I’m going to keep getting booked. I’m probably going to start fighting again. I’m probably going to do a lot of other shit, fcking crushing on OnlyFans because I’ve got a big fcking you know what, and I’m nice as fck, dude. Everybody, if you don’t like me, unfollow. Go fck yourselves, all right? I don’t give a fck because at the end of the day, the cream fcking rises to the top, and I’m really, really tired of trying to be nice to everybody because I hate to break it to you. Most of you guys are fcking morons. Peace.”
OG RoH was already dead and going out of business due to Sinclar's massive debts when AEW bought their IP, all AEW did to them was prevent ROH's media library from being bought and buried in the WWE vault to never be seen again.
MLW, I def agree with you on on. They're one of the top indies right now in the US but they'd be much larger if not for AEW, and I'm sure CMLL talent (while still a draw) are less of a draw for them now given NA audiences can see CMLL folk on AEW damn near weekly.
@GeekFTW yeah, I meant with RoH losing all of their top guys to AEW. I kind of felt sorry for them, particularly as it was much of their help that allowed the original All In to be so much of a success. If I recall correctly the lighting, cameras, etc. were borrowed from RoH for nothing or close to it.
@GeekFTW I did find it funny at the end there when RoH was broadcoast on Sinclair owned FSN and Impact was on AXStv as back in the 00s RoH was on HDNet, which later became AXS, and TNA was on FSN (which i think 20th century fox actually owned still).
Yep, ROH literally produced it. The rights to the first All In didn't belong to Tony or AEW until he bought ROH.
