He recently did an interview discussing how media distracts from important issues, and essentially one of the things he discussed in the interview is that he had no interest in Black Sabbath’s music or Ozzy Osbourne’s music/career and referred to his TV show as “idiocy and nonsense”, and the media is acting like he just pissed on Ozzy’s grave and slapped his kids in the face or something.

Is it a bit blunt saying that 5/6 weeks after he died? Sure. But the media is going as far as to refer to him as “unhinged” over it. He didn’t even insult Ozzy as a person, just said that he never cared for his music or media presence.

I just don’t see how any of what he said is that big of a deal, but I’d be interested to hear other opinions on this.

they hate roger waters because he has unflinchingly called israelis nazis for a long time. they'll pounce on him for anything they think they can get people to go along with at this point.

IIRC he also pointed out the hypocrisy of boycotting and sanctioning Russia after the Ukraine invasion, and criticized the US / NATO for their role in the war. he's been a consistent anti-war voice and the liberal media doesn't like that
