I should probably check this game out again, since I was one of the people who played it when it first released almost a decade ago, and it was legitimately dogshit then.
A lot of the blame should be laid on Sony, they hyped it up as a massive release almost as if it had been on par with their first party releases when it was really just an indie game with a relatively small team behind it. The bar is really low, but they've accomplished a lot more with their resources than Star Citizen has with 13 years of "development" and over 800 million dollars.
Jfc 800 now? I can't believe people keep giving that fucker money. All I wanted was a good sequel to freelancer
Yeah, I had to check how much it was, and that was apparently the newest figure. People keep giving him money even though there are actual alternatives if you want a space exploration game: Elite Dangerous for all its faults and misdirected development is much better, there's NMS, you could check out the X series...
I have all three lol. For the og starlancer vibe there is also house of the dying sun
I fucking loved what is there of House of the dying sun. Its just short for a basic playthrough.
I was a Kickstarter backer for Elite Dangerous and think I definitely got my money's worth out of that one. I also considered backing SC, but thankfully decided not to because the vibes were off majorly.
It got hyped up by the project lead completely lying about it.
