I take it that Dublin and Cork apparently have something of a rivalry?

Yeah, it's banter tbh. They call us West Brits (or worse) and say they live in the republic of cork and we call them spud gobbling boggers (or worse).

Cork is the biggest county in Ireland (and absolutely beautiful) but Dublin is the most populated.
