A good submission is:
- Visually clear at a small size (120 pixel width) [This does not mean upload the small image, this means upload the source image or full size cutout but test prior.]
- Have a transparent background to the greatest degree possible. This online tool can remove many backgrounds.
- Display a clear emotion or purpose
- If including text, should be properly sized to be readable
- "Evergreen" and not something that will be irrelevant after the next news cycle
- Formatted in PNG, GIF, or SVG to make our file optimization cycles easier. If svg initially, send svg in a seperately hosted link to WhyEssEff. Same with gif, as we render them as mp4 IIRC.
- Have proposed title as the title of the post, nothing more, nothing less.
- Post body should include a suggested category and keywords.
- Max height of 3 times the width.
Rules:
- No reactionary or reactionary-adjacent expressions. The purpose of an image is what it expresses. Some clear examples for this rule:
- Allowed: Broken fasces, burning stars-and-bars, rotated Mussolini
- Disallowed: Body-shaming, Pepes, gay-shaming the enemy (e.g. those pictures of Putin and Trump that libs love to post), certain hateful wojaks (even if recontextualized)
- If you think you have touched on a grey area, see rule 7 for how to litigate this.
- ~~Nothing Vaush-related is allowed~~
- To be honest, I broke this rule, so it's pretty much moot. Just run it by me first in DMs or matrix. Vaush is a bit of a dead horse, so to speak, so they're still generally discouraged. The qualification for a viable emote referencing his existence is more a matter of execution

- No desecration of religious imagery.
- This rule does not extend to the subordinate representations of religious symbolism present within the flags and/or iconography of nations, political parties, or militant groups.
- Nothing sexually explicit or overtly horny is allowed
- :hentai-free:
- No sectarianism in submissions. Pro-tendency content is fine, but we will not accept content degrading specific tendencies.
- No gore, no SA, no sui-bait. Nothing that could reasonably trigger a comrade.
- If you think you're touching on a grey area with a submission, message @whyesseff:matrix.org to clear it before you post.
- DISCLAIMER: Clearing does not necessarily mean that I'll add it, just that it's alright to submit and the rules will not be the barrier to its addition

They're doing it again too, I specifically said I don't care one way or another whether we have the emoji or not just that I have seen at least one actual anti-semite beg for it to be included. So much bad faith and disingenuous shit leveled at me over this just because I am sick of Z_poster being an asshole.
You are deliberately misinterpret any criticism that comes your way. I never called you a Zionist, I said your talking points are Zionist, and they are regardless of the context you think I’m missing. There are many non antisemitic reasons for why someone could think that the replacement idf flag is not sufficient. For 1, the violence and crimes of the zionist state are not just committed by it’s terrorist army, they are imbedded in the states very constitution. For 2, the initial reasonings that were given to not include the real zionist cool flag were bad even if there was a consensus at the time. The zionist state has always been extremely violent and completely illegitimate and it has always used the star of david prominently in all of it’s terrorist acts. Affirming the religious value of its terrorist flag is an insult to anyone who has suffered from the crimes that were committed under it.
Those points are a topics of discussion and there might be users with disagreements on it. Discarding Z_poster’s additions to this discussion by implying they’re antisemitic is a just cheap way to not actually engage with it. Worse than cheap, it legitimises zionist attempts to discard any criticism on the zionist project as antisemitic. That last part is what I take issue with. Especially 2 years in the violent escalation of the genocide. If you have such a big issue with that user you can refer to those issues directly. But just attacking them with zionist talking points is, as I said earlier, gross.
