A good submission is:
- Visually clear at a small size (120 pixel width) [This does not mean upload the small image, this means upload the source image or full size cutout but test prior.]
- Have a transparent background to the greatest degree possible. This online tool can remove many backgrounds.
- Display a clear emotion or purpose
- If including text, should be properly sized to be readable
- "Evergreen" and not something that will be irrelevant after the next news cycle
- Formatted in PNG, GIF, or SVG to make our file optimization cycles easier. If svg initially, send svg in a seperately hosted link to WhyEssEff. Same with gif, as we render them as mp4 IIRC.
- Have proposed title as the title of the post, nothing more, nothing less.
- Post body should include a suggested category and keywords.
- Max height of 3 times the width.
Rules:
- No reactionary or reactionary-adjacent expressions. The purpose of an image is what it expresses. Some clear examples for this rule:
- Allowed: Broken fasces, burning stars-and-bars, rotated Mussolini
- Disallowed: Body-shaming, Pepes, gay-shaming the enemy (e.g. those pictures of Putin and Trump that libs love to post), certain hateful wojaks (even if recontextualized)
- If you think you have touched on a grey area, see rule 7 for how to litigate this.
- ~~Nothing Vaush-related is allowed~~
- To be honest, I broke this rule, so it's pretty much moot. Just run it by me first in DMs or matrix. Vaush is a bit of a dead horse, so to speak, so they're still generally discouraged. The qualification for a viable emote referencing his existence is more a matter of execution

- No desecration of religious imagery. This includes things like burning Israeli/Saudi flag emojis. If you can modify the flags while still accurately representing countries without including said imagery, it is much preferred.
- A grey area can be argued around whether the symbol has colloquially evolved past its religious origins (one example of this that can be relatively agreed upon is the Union Jack, which is more a symbol of colonialism if anything). See rule 7 for how to litigate this.
- Nothing sexually explicit or overtly horny is allowed
- :hentai-free:
- No sectarianism in submissions. Pro-tendency content is fine, but we will not accept content degrading specific tendencies.
- No gore, no SA, no sui-bait. Nothing that could reasonably trigger a comrade.
- If you think you're touching on a grey area with a submission, message @whyesseff:matrix.org to clear it before you post.
- DISCLAIMER: Clearing does not necessarily mean that I'll add it, just that it's alright to submit and the rules will not be the barrier to its addition

Endorse the full emoji, deal with the Zionist propagandists calling people antisemites, unban Z
I'm with you but I can't really endorse this
tactic. Everyone can see this is a 2 month old account that only started commenting now. Just take the W.
edit: months not weeks
please tell me you are doing a bit
Another alt I see!
The bit is that I misread 2 months as 2 weeks, but the rest of the comment is true. I just think they're actually undermining their own point because using alts in this thread, when only about 2 or 3 users are still trying to salvage the status quo, only serves to paint the rest of us as also being alts.
those 2 or 3 users trying to salvage the status quo are zposters alts too. in fact zposter is the only poster on hexbear.
but heres the twist: zposter is MY alt
You don't think a 2 month account that hadn't posted anything until a struggle session starts, then suddenly they're familiar with site history and have something to contribute, is an alt? It doesn't even mean they're wrong.
I'm willing to take the L that it isn't Z's alt specifically (I mean, come on, but I can't prove that).
edit: who upvoted this? I'm wrong! I'm factually incorrect!
Might be someone who made a new account, insane to just call every slightly newish account zposters alt. So many people have multiple accounts, this isnt my only one and not even the oldest one.
My account is 5 years old but i didnt really even comment for the first couple of them. Sussy, must be zposters alt cant be that i just didnt feel like commenting. I have made only 174 comments, 9 of them regarding this struggle session (5ish%) getting really sus where did all this interest come from so suddenly? I must be zposters sockpuppet.
I’m someone else’s alt. Obviously. But I’m not them. ~~So hold the L~~ amends made, all good
L poster 365
I don't use alts... I don't know how to make one
I contend with this by rereading everything I say and deleting 90% of the posts I decide not to make.
Or this could be me: Z Poster
ready for the Z-Posting Time!!!
