wow they're so pretty and smooth! one time i had the opportunity to throw for just a few hours, it really is a difficult skill to learn. have any ideas on how you're gonna paint or glaze them?
Throwing can be difficult to learn for sure. It helps to be knowledgeable of the medium and process. Working with ceramic demands an understanding of chemistry and material science. And wheel throwing adds physics into the process.
As for glazes, I only have access to simple bright color low-fire glazes in my classroom and the electric kiln in the picture. I’m going to mix some glazes and make test tiles before I choose one I like. I’m thinking of a freckled cerulean. I want to make sure it’s opaque though, since the bisque of this clay has an, in my opinion, an ugly pinkish white hue.
