How about using an actual form of currency? Fluctuating "currencies" don't work. Unregulated is even worse.
Even just Paypal or something, you know, a service that is actually used for payments?
It's exceedingly difficult to pass hard cash through the internet.
If you do swift or ACH you are automatically identified. Also the same institutions that handle the Swift and ACH are highly dependent upon Visa and MasterCard.
PayPal doesn't exist in a vacuum, If they piss off Visa or MasterCard they're as fucked as anyone else.
We could use wampum for whatever the fuck it matters, But we need to be able to handle currency trades some way outside of Visa and MasterCard and the corporations that prop them up.
Crypto is mostly intertwined with bullshit pyramid schemes but the capability of transferring money back and forth, holding secure ledgers, and verifying transactions is quite real.
