This already got them more attention than anything they’ve ever done before. I would say that it’s a net positive for them.

It is very much in character for white supremacists to claim innocence or do the “it’s just a joke bro” routine.

I doubt the ad men are white supremacists or otherwise ideologically motivated here, they just want to maximize the impact of the ad because profits.

Totally agree on the second point. I wanted to say something along those lines in my original comment but couldn't get the wording right. Maybe AA will end up with a reverse Budweiser situation where they lose the liberal urbanites and the conservative rural people don't step in to save them.
