SD is getting a little old, sadly.
What games is it too old for, exactly?

More about the tech and being sub 1080p.
Of course if you're fine with that, it's still quite excellent. I love mine.
Honestly, the resolution doesn't really bother me. It's just about right for the screen size, about 200 PPI at 7". If the screen were larger (which is one of the things I want from a SD2), it might not be enough.
The other thing I'd want is more USB sockets (at least one with USB-PD) on both the top and bottom edge.
Word, I can dig it. My SD OLED is a nice piece of kit. Been very happy with it.
I keep seeing rumors about ridiculous pricing, so like you say I will wait and see, I currently have neither
