I'm terrible at it but fwiw i mained blue kirby on the 64 and then falco in melee. Mostly played against siblings and cousins where cheese reigned and skill was ridiculed
Lol "cheese rained" I feel that. We would compete to use the simplest/least effective moves to win to show off. You're up a life so you refuse to use the a button to prove your superiority
The biggest disrespect was grabbing someone as DK then walking with them off the edge of the map.
I would jump off the ledge and chase them and use the Ness lightning until they'd try to get closer, then if they seemed to give up, I'd try to save myself again with the lightning. They either has to be embarrassed by my catching them and preventing their recovery or let me save myself.
