The best take I keep hearing is that the actual Epstein files are largely meaningless when there are plenty of victims that could just be asked who they were victimized by. But since this has nothing to do with justice or actually protecting women they'll never do that and instead they'll just keep focusing on these files that aren't really needed at all.

The American legal system is designed to let predators silence these victims. If people start naming CEOs without any actual evidence they will get immediately sued to oblivion. People can just deny the claims and move on, as the rich and powerful already do every day.

IMO one of the biggest reasons the files aren't released is the legal onslaught it will initiate in its aftermath. People can be named but if they were never tried in court the claims will not stand, not against the ultra rich legal armies, not in modern Amerikkkan society
