Fact: Gazans have just as much right to armed self defense as the Israelis do.
Fact: Hamas, by Israel's own numbers, does a better job at avoiding civilian casualties than the IDF does.
Fact: people who hand wring about Hamas are just classists. They view killing someone with a bomb dropped from a plane as morally superior to killing someone with an AK 47. Their moral judgment in the validity of violence is primarily a function of the income of the person committing the violence.
Actually Israelis do not have any right to self defense as a beligirent occupier.

My Israelian friend told me they grew up with bombings every week for the last 30 years and that having a bomb shelter was normal and needed... Hearing on the news that a mall, a club, a restaurant or even a bus were blown up. They used to go with a gas mask to school because there were always under threat of chemical attacks... so idk how hamas does a better job at avoiding civilian casualties than the IDF does since Israel been under attack for 30 years by Hamas according to my friend. But ATM yes, I agree IDF is deffo making a lot more civilian casualties... shooting innocent palestinians at food check points in their crotches...

Its just so crazy. Also because they told me they were taught in school that Arabs are as much a part of Israel as anyone else is. And in general media it's always the fault of the terror organizations and not the countries themselves... That does not sound like indoctrination against palestinians to me ?
And is it true that it's now illegal to be against the genocide in gaza in the UK just because pro palestinians attacked one military base? Aren't they secure sites? What is happening over there and why are no leaders stepping up the genocide its crazy
By Israel's own numbers, Hamas killed two civilians for every military casualty on October 7. This number includes Israeli civilians killed by the IDF to prevent them from becoming hostages. Since the attack, the IDF has killed far far more than two Gazan civilians for every member of Hamas they've taken out. They've leveled Gaza and corralled its population into concentration camps.
The reason there has been no peace is that Israel doesn't want peace. They are an expansionist state. They continuously expand their borders through the following method:
Have Israeli citizens living right next to Arab populations (Palestinians and others.)
Israel antagonizes their neighbors until some militant group responds violently.
Send in the Israeli military to fight the militant group.
Use fighting the group as cover to expel the Arab population from an area. Justify this by saying a "buffer zone" is required to separate Israelis and Arabs, like the Korean DMZ.
Allow Israeli civilians to settle inside the "buffer zone." Once again have Israelis living right next door to Arabs.
Antagonize their neighbors until violence again erupts.
This is how Israel slowly expands its borders. And they're not stopping at Gaza and the West Bank. They're doing the same shit in Lebanon and Syria. Arab land today. Buffer zone tomorrow. Israeli cities and towns the day after. It's a slow claiming of Israeli lebensraum one bit at a time, and they've been doing this for decades.

Are you being sarcastic? Inform yourself in how in Israel people are being indoctrinated to completely despise Palestinians and consider them worse than rats (and I mean it, I bet a rat in a Israeli street is treated better and with more compassion than a Palestinian 4yr old in Gaza!). The bomb shelter drama pre 2024 were part of the indoctrination. Both Hezbollah and Hamas did not have projectiles that can be aim at anything and overwhelming majority ended in the dessert. I dare you find how many Israeli civilians died between 2010 and 2022... I could not find any data at all (self explanatory) but I bet more died due to a bee sting! Palestinians, however, 5,600 were killed, an increasingly in the later years, and that does not account the tens of thousands imprisoned and tortured ones, inclusive of kids that are at random picked up from the streets or in their beds to no recourse.
Why would it be any deal, one has all the power and an enabler, when not participant, international community, they other has almost nothing. Israel is the only country that I can think of that does not have to support the people that they'd invaded since 7 decades ago.

Again, don't take my word, just please find the number of Israeli civilian deaths in "the last 30 years" of "bombings", they must be so traumatized on these unwarranted thousands of attacks that for 30 years had caused! In the US, fireworks alone killed 11 people last year... that is a 'bit more' than Hamas killed with rockets in those last 30 years!
