Having a patreon means you have to opt in to paying him

You do understand that by us uncritically sharing his videos, we're helping his funding. Making content is clearly his job and not just a hobby. Are we really going to split hairs over this.

It doesn't make him a fascist to say US regime change against the Thai monarchy

His videos are explicitly pro monarchy. Is says the monarchy is good and beloved. Why are you whitewashing this?

It also does make him a fascist to take the side of the far right in a conflict, and fedjacket the left and liberal sides.

Writing professional subtitles is an expensive process. I don't know that the Thai state is funding this, but it's hella sus.

I directly broke down the next two comments you wrote in my last response but you clearly didn't read it or else you would know that.

projection

Is the Duran fascist?

They do the racist and queerphobic dog whistle thing all the time.

don't see you making it a point to call them out every time they are mentioned

May I please put in a reminder that Brian Berletic is a far right source.

Wow damn that is harsh. I'm not the one here 'ahm akually' writing a book defending a guy who wrote for infowars, "globalist" obsessed, still literally making right wing points to this day.

This is debate bro behaviour and I'm done with his convo.

I already spoke to this, making it clear that I don't agree with this statement. he doesn't monetize his videos and a few dozen clicks or less from hexbear isn't supporting him enough to get obsessed about. no one is promoting the liking, subscribing, becoming a donor of his, or anything of the sort. I don't get why someone who views themselves as a Marxist would be afraid of other Marxists looking at any source of information and utilizing it in their own analysis. Anything related to Berletic that I've ever seen mentioned on this website was good analysis and no one here is promoting any of the content you have issues with, or coming out with the takeaways you have.

I'm not whitewashing anything, I already said I don't think he is a Marxist and don't expect him to have a Marxist analysis, and that he is pretty consistently on the side of whoever the US is fighting. Many of us here support Iran's religious theocracy and even the Taliban as more authentic expressions of their nation's sovereignty than some US comprador government that would replace them. It would be great if a worker's dictatorship took over in every nation but if the battle is between the US and a lesser evil, the lesser evil is typically getting critical support. If Berletic's analysis isn't as good as a Marxist's, I'm not surprised since he isn't a Marxist, but it ends up still being mostly the right side more often than 90% of other US liberals making content on the subject and more importantly it is actually well sourced. Every group of communists with any measure of success had to work with what they had, and usually that includes people who aren't revolutionary but are on the same side for some period. We have to take in all the information and parse through it and use what we can, and not be afraid that if another communist happens to ingest non-marxist geopolitical analysis, they won't sudden sprout a rectangular mustache and start goose stepping around town. 90% of the content that people use as sources for geopolitical, economic, or historical analysis are not made by communists.

I think if someone was literally sharing fascist materials it would be a problem, but you are alleging that this is happening by sharing Brian Berletic's material and it's just totally unserious as a suggestion. You came to me over a week after your last comment almost begging for a response because you spent an hour on your comment and now you're really trying to present this like I am some asshole for honoring your request and giving you a thoughtful response. While calling me the debate bro? While being sarcastic and aggressive and most ironically using a meme accusing me of projecting? You really have nothing to reflect on here yet present yourself as some very correct marxist. It's just very silly and looks silly and I think most people here would agree. It's fine to point out Berletic's past and such and to keep everyone informed but jumping to this cancel culture internet leftist troll archetype over this person of all people feels kind of pathetic tbh.
