Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
The rules are simple:
- The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author's website, for instance).
- The comic must be a complete story.
- If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
- You may post comics from others or your own.
- If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
- The comic can be in any language, but if it's not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post's 'body' field (note: you don't need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
- Politeness.
- AI-generated comics aren't allowed.
- Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.

Is there a way to block a specific comic on Lemmy? There's too much of this one for my personal taste. (I'd like to see zero of this one. It's the only one I can't stand.)
If you're using an app that can filter words, you could add "Mimi" to the list

You could block the OP who posts a lot of it but there are probably some other users that also post it.
I checked their history before and they did post some other comics, but if this continues I might have to make the sacrifice.

Heh I was just going to block the user myself for the same reason but I thought I'd check the comments to see if anyone had any better ideas!
I can make a community for this comic in particular, but I'm not sure if people actually want a community for it or just are lurkers in this community.
Although you can also just ignore it. There's plenty of political comics I'd block on this community but it's easy to scroll by.
Would you happen to know if the author is female? That might make it less weeby for me, for some reason. That might be sexist of me, come to think of it? I dunno. But that's the cold truth. 🫠
