[–] PostyourJaggaHogs@hexbear.net 43 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

have you considered that the label flattens the discourse

[–] Skye@hexbear.net 32 points 2 weeks ago

Left of center dem, it's time for your discourse flattening flattened-bernie

[–] aanes_appreciator@hexbear.net 39 points 2 weeks ago

God these libfash are exhausting, endless fellating about shit they have zero perosnal stake in beyond the entertainment of bashing anyone who does anything at all.

I would go as far as to see these people are straight up embarassed fascists but that would require some semblance of political self awareness and education

I think we need to spend another year arguing over the nuance of ethnic cleansing vs. genocide before I can make a clear decision on what side I support.

[–] Damarcusart@hexbear.net 28 points 2 weeks ago

I never thought I'd see the lib idea of "changing the name of a thing changes the nature of the thing itself." but used for genocide of all things.

The time for talking about diplomacy was sometimes during the last 75 years. At this point a moral and practical country would be choking Israel in military & technology sanctions, arresting any & all members of the government & military who set foot within their borders, shooting down Israeli jets & drones to enforce a no fly zone, and bombing any & all Israeli military & paramilitary targets into dust.

Hamas has tried diplomacy but the Israeli response is always either "No" or "actually Hamas violated the peace treaty!" (even though Israel still bombed Palestinians during the ceasefire)

[–] MolotovHalfEmpty@hexbear.net 19 points 2 weeks ago

Exactly. But in this case I'm talking about the 'western liberal democracies' which constantly fall back on the idea of a diplomacy that they never actually meaningfully attempt before washing their hands and going back to supporting genocide.

[–] CleverOleg@hexbear.net 16 points 2 weeks ago

and the great march of return was an attempt at non-violent protest, and the Israeli response was to kill a couple hundred people and seriously injure thousands more.

I feel like they thought they were being sly by sneaking in that apparently diplomacy is the only acceptable way to stop the slaughter of Palestinian civilians. Can't let those extremists encourage the death of IOF goons.

r/breadtube getting her ass, surprisingly

[–] SkingradGuard@hexbear.net 20 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Breadtube was a mistake

It was a psyop since the beginning

[–] Damarcusart@hexbear.net 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Was it? Or was it just that any left wing content creator on the platform saying anything truly radical would just get banned?

[–] SkingradGuard@hexbear.net 2 points 2 weeks ago

I don't think that's entirely true, we still have Hakim and others on YouTube. You can even find audiobooks of Marxist literature etc.

[–] sleeplessone@lemmy.ml 6 points 2 weeks ago

The only people who benefit are the extremists whose powers grow from radicalization.

Yes Soviet yes chad

[–] GalaxyBrain@hexbear.net 5 points 2 weeks ago

The discourse should be flat because genocide is ontologically evil
