My bad. Was EAC kernel level since the beginning? I thought it wasn't when Apex was released, so maybe that changed but I can't find anything on Google.
Edit: Still couldn't find anything on Google so I asked a LLM and seems like it was added after the game's release. Ofc it may be entirely made up, as I can't verify the info.
Still I'm pretty sure it's not a fault in the anti cheat, games have much wider attack surface and game dev are not generally experts on cyber sec. Plus both CoD and Apex are based on older engines who had their code reverse engineered, leaked or were public.
An RCE was already discovered on the older MW2 so it could have been ported to the recent games.

I think Apex has had EAC for atleast 2-3 years but yeah I am unsure if they switched from a non-kernel level or not.
