I'm tired of them pretending we don't know what they mean with "DEI hires." I'm also tired of nobody in power calling this out.
DEI hire is basically just the socially acceptable combination of all derogatory racial terms rolled into one at this point.
A terminological “Swiss Army N-Word”.
There's always a new dog whistle n-word from these fucks. Thugs was a popular one for a while. The absolute disdain with which they used the word, and only for coloured people... Was so gross.
It's so obvious. They never said or will ever say that line ever about a white guy.
Best I can give him is that she got the job at least partially because she's a black woman. Putting a black woman in SCOTUS was a campaign promise. One made early enough that I doubt he had Jackson already in mind when he made it. She's presumably the most qualified black woman his admin could find, if not the most qualified candidate overall.
