Some sort of surprising outcomes last weekend: Tiger-Cats took the Als, and maybe less surprising, the Riders beat the Lions.
The hottest team in the league, the Riders (4-0), have a bye week this week. It seems like the balance of power is shifting in the West. Riders vs Bombers in the West Finals?
The East feels a little more open still, with no clear second place team to the Als.
My Argos won without Chad Kelly yesterday, so that was nice as a Boatmen supporter. The Argos put up most of their points in the first half and were more stagnant offensively in the second half. They managed to hold off the RBs though.
Lot of interesting games this week. The Stamps have been performing well, so the Bombers will have to take that win from them. A nice even 401 (local highway) match between the Ti-Cats and Argos. Can the Lions redeem themselves against the Beast of the East Als? Another even-looking match between the RBs and Elks. No more racist pro sports teams names (!) - lets extend Edmonton to 0-4 given the franchise's BS re-embracing of @#$imos.
It's funny, I was just about to say the narratives of the season seem to be taking shape, but you're right - there are still some things up in the air.
I wouldn't be mad about that at all. But I do hope BC can get things more together - I like Buck Pierce.
I'd also like to see the defending champs gather some more steam.
