Please use spoiler tags whenever commenting a spoiler in a non-spoiler thread. Most of the Lemmy clients don't support this but we want to get into the habit as clients will be supporting in the future.

I could not be more disappointed.
Why? He directed Sicaro, and that turned out pretty well. The same goes for Dune, Arrival, and Bladerunner. Not saying everything he's done is amazing, but he seems to know what he's doing.
Said it above but I am disappointed he’s working on Bond. Would rather see him do really anything else.
Sicario and Arrival were great successes that I thoroughly enjoyed. The atmospheres of Dune and Bladerunner were perfect but the stories felt like hollow shells of the originals. Maybe he should just stick to original productions.
I think that's just more the nature of adaptations. Dune is an incredibly difficult story to adapt, and his version is the best adaptation that currently exists. It's also subjective and your opinion is hardly the consensus.
Take off the last word from that title, see what that does
Sure you could be. It could have been Rian Johnson.
Every Bond trope: subverted.
Or even worse M Night.
But that twist that Q was the real villain mastermind the whole time...
Creating the Bond villains to have something to do. :)
I meant that Denis is working on a Bond film instead of something actually interesting.
