Between Russia and Ukraine, which side does the DPR want in their territory and which side does it not want there? Which side is it allied with?

Remember countries in the Dontesk region have declared their independence after the coup d'état in Ukraine and after Ukraine bombed the region. Ukraine has never respected this independence
