Throw in a HOA and it's authoritarian too. Nothing like being told you need to have a specific grass type that requires more water than a fucking cow and you need mow it to a specific height and no you can't just replace the lawn with green rocks or thing that doesn't waste resources for no reason beyond the current HOA presidents idea of aesthetic value.
