I don't need to ask anything. OP posted a comparison, that really isn't. I made a point of one big reason why. You came here with the unrelated info.

You don't need to act so dismissive. You literally posted about the network connection info permission. Someone asked and confirmed it was a remanant of a permission.

The fdroid version doesn't even connect to the internet according to them. This was being way too paranoid for no reason.

It doesn't change the fact that those permissions are necessary during install. Them saying "oh, don't worry about that, it was a mistake" is laughable.

This wasn't too paranoid for no reason, if you read what Fossify and their mission is about.
