Not by genetics no, but taught by parents and the circle they're brought up in who are also hateful, and hateful news they're told is the only news to watch.

Some people are terrible regardless absolutely, but the sheer amount of it were seeing right now is being generated by bad actors.

i agree. i also think the bad actors that can turn someone hateful are more easily passing their hate through social media/youtube etc

I hope the pendulum swings back and we get a decade where people make peace. i'm not hedging my bet on it though.
