America has a lot to learn from the Hong Kong Umbrella protests...

Being orderly and civil to other regular citizens is a badge of honor. Look for video of the crowd parting for an Ambulance as an example.
Protests in general will show dissatisfaction, but if the authoritarian in charge doesn't care about that they won't have any effect.
5-10 watt lasers are very effective.
