Sorry for that. We try to smuggle words to your side of the ocean. Like ship them through canada to avoid tariff and laws on wording immigration and prison for language contamination. But americanise the spelling because we try to convince ourself that we still love your great continent two (for now) countries continent.
To numerize means turning things into numbers. Maybe we can use “digitalise” but machines don’t have fingers in this side of the world so using “digit” is weird weird.
I know what 'numerize' means in general, it just didn't make sense to me in that sentence. I suppose I would have been less confused about 'digitalize'/'digitalise' ...
I suspect we're on the same side of that ocean! Please don't just assume that people are from the USA, it's bad enough that people who are from the USA themselves make that mistake.
Yeah it was just an attempt to make poor Internet poetry.
My bad for the USA, it's cool that on Lemmy we can come across people who are not just our own country or the USA. On the few networks where I am, this is not the case. I have to pay attention to my generalization bias!
Nah, the internet poetry was fine, there was just that little bit too much ambiguity from the combination of slightly odd (to me) wording and cursive writing (the cursive by itself was alright, too, evidently I did read it right).
