Algebra in school is like a compiler with shitty type inference: you rarely have to write type annotations and you can easily end up with impossible states. (lemmy.ml)

Leonard Euler was just the 16th century maths version of Alan Smithee that people wrote on papers as a joke, and you can't convince me otherwise.

A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. The best ones are thoughts that many people can relate to and they find something funny or interesting in regular stuff.
