It's always the same tune. Nazis? Muh warrior spirit! Imperial Japan? Muh warrior spirit! These chucklefucks? Muh warrior spirit! Yanks in the middle East? You guessed it
Turns out the hard counter for "warrior spirit" is angry peasants and workers willing to fight to expel the invaders from their homes.
Edit: in a way very little has changed over time. Compare this to European knights malding at being taken down by peasants with crossbows and then firearms.
