Remember, if you ever find that you’re being followed, DO NOT GO HOME. Go somewhere very public with lots of witnesses and either call the cops or wait it out for them to get bored and leave. Depending on the situation, driving to your local police station might also be a good idea, but with the current situation of things, maybe not.

But the last thing you want is to show them where you live. You managed to shake them in your case, but this is more advice for the future.

I'm going to add to this. This happened to a friend of mine and she drove to a police station (or sub station) and parked there. They continued driving. Hopefully that will scare them off if you ever find yourself in a similar situation. But hopefully you never find yourself in a similar situation.

Yep thank you. That's what I did I drove down the freeway and around a few shopping centers until finally I shook them off.
