Diamond press-ups target the tricep much more than a typical pressup, a normal pressup targets the shoulders and chest, however during the tendon building stage you'll feel your arms being incorporated a lot, that might explain why you feel pressups they work the arms. If you want to work your biceps, I truly do suggest getting dumbells, and if you dont mind saving for a litle while as you are building tendon strength, get weight dumbbell, you can change the weight (2kg-32kg, 4kg increments) by rotating the bar like a motorbike. Its super approachable
Is this why I feel my biceps giving up before my core, shoulders or any other muscle? (Last question I hope, thanks for the help so far)
Hey, dw about spamming questions I am happy to answer them, and to answer your Q I think so yes. But don't worry building tendons is actually really easy it just takes time, the formula is low weight and frequency. If this is your first time working out ever, expect 2-3 months from the first time you broke a sweat. Do incline pressups on some stairs for example or the knee pressups, just crank out a few every now and then each day, believe me this stage will pass by like nothing.
Be kind to yourself, you're building your foundations, completely forget heavy weights for now because tendons do not work that way. And make sure to work out core and legs believe me they will improve your QOL
Alright, thanks. I'll try starting with pushups, planks and running
Btw Bulgarian split squats without weights are a must-have for legs, believe me they will build so much strength throughout, its worth it, anyway happy hunting <3
